For the last few years, the peptide community has lived in a “gray market.” In 2023, the FDA moved dozens of popular peptides into “Category 2,” a restrictive designation that effectively banned compounding pharmacies from producing them. This forced many patients toward unregulated “research only” websites with zero quality oversight.<\/span><\/p>

That era appears to be ending.<\/span><\/p>

The “Rogan Announcement”<\/b><\/h3>

In a recent appearance on the <\/span>Joe Rogan Experience<\/b>, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. sent shockwaves through the health world by announcing a major policy reversal. Kennedy described the 2023 restrictions as overreach, stating, “We created the gray market,” and pledged to restore legal access to approximately <\/span>14 key peptides<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

His goal is simple: move these substances back into regulated U.S. compounding pharmacies where they can be tested for purity and administered under medical supervision.<\/span><\/p>

What\u2019s Happening in July 2026?<\/b><\/h3>

To make good on this promise, the FDA\u2019s <\/span>Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC)<\/b> has officially scheduled a high-stakes meeting for <\/span>July 23\u201324, 2026<\/b>. During this session, they will review seven of the most in-demand peptides for inclusion on the <\/span>503A Bulk Drug Substances List<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

If approved, these will move to <\/span>Category 1<\/b>, meaning Viva Wellness Center and other clinics can once again provide them legally and safely.<\/span><\/p>

The “July Seven”: Peptides on the Docket<\/b><\/h3>

The FDA has split the review into two days. Here is the list of peptides rumored and confirmed for this first wave of re-entry:<\/span><\/p>

    Day 2 (July 24): Brain & Longevity<\/b><\/p>

    • Semax:<\/b> A neuropeptide focused on neuroprotection and cognitive enhancement.<\/span><\/li>
    • Epitalon:<\/b> Studied for its effects on telomeres and sleep-wake cycle regulation.<\/span><\/li>
    • DSIP (Emideltide):<\/b> The “Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide,” used for chronic insomnia and stress management.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
